A life remembered through music

When Words Aren’t Enough

A woman sitting quietly at a memorial with a framed photo, candles and flowers

Some lives cannot be summed up in a eulogy or captured on a plaque. A bespoke memorial song gives a family a different way to hold onto someone — their character, their sayings, the small things only you would remember — in an original piece of music created especially for them.

Turn Your Ideas Into Music handles memorial and legacy projects with the patience, sensitivity and respect they deserve.

Built from the details that made them who they were

Favourite memories, family names, places, habits, sayings, achievements, the ways they affected the people around them — you share what mattered, and we help find the emotional centre of the tribute within it.

The purpose isn’t to list every fact. It’s to create something that feels recognisable, honest and true to the people who knew them best — a keepsake families return to for generations, not something played once and set aside.

Where a memorial song can be used

  • Funeral or cremation services
  • Celebrations of life
  • Memorial videos and photographic tributes
  • Anniversaries and family remembrance
  • Private family listening
  • Community, cultural or organisational tributes
  • Legacy collections for elders, founders and public contributors

A gentle, confidential process

Private story discovery

A family member or representative shares what matters most, at whatever pace feels right. Where it helps, more than one relative can contribute their own memories.

Finding the right emotional tone

Together we decide whether the song should feel comforting, grateful, reflective, uplifting, spiritual, celebratory, or some considered combination of all of it.

Songwriting and production

The story is shaped into an original piece of music, written and produced with the care the direction calls for.

Family review

You hear the result within the original brief, and use the revisions included with your package before anything is finalised.

Confidentiality and consent

Sensitive project information is used only to create the commissioned work. A fully confidential project can be requested. We do not publish personal stories, names or excerpts for marketing without permission — this is your family’s story, not ours to share.

Memorial song packages

The Legacy Experience package is designed for important tributes and begins at £299. For larger family celebrations and gatherings, the Signature Celebration package begins at £599. More detailed family-history, founder, elder or multi-song legacy commissions are quoted privately as part of the Legacy Collection.

Available deliverables may include MP3 and WAV files, a lyrics document, an instrumental version, an event-ready edit, tribute-video support, or a coordinated private premiere.

For guidance on planning the moment your tribute is first heard, see The Big Reveal.

Frequently asked questions

Can you complete a song before a funeral?

Possibly, depending on the date, scope and current availability. Please share the service date as early as you can so we can be honest with you about the timeline.

Can several family members contribute?

Yes. It’s best to nominate one final decision-maker so feedback stays clear and the schedule can be protected during what is often a difficult time.

Can the song mention names and personal memories?

Yes. Those details are often exactly what make a tribute feel like them. Accuracy should be checked by the family before final approval.

Does commissioning the song transfer copyright?

No. Standard packages include defined usage rights rather than automatic copyright transfer. Wider use or a full transfer can be discussed separately.

Begin with a conversation

You don’t need to know exactly what the song should say. Start by telling us about the person, what you want remembered, and where the song will be heard.
